Named for owner Jill Wilkinson and her daughter Sidney J&S Frame Gallery opened its doors on June 18, 2007. Since then it has become a gathering place where local artists of all levels can purchase art supplies and chat with one another, as well as enjoy the fine art on display. Local and international watercolor artist William Maurer displays his work at J&S, as well as well-known local artists Kathleen Hardin and Christiana Long, and a wonderful newcomer to the Amelia arts scene, Linda Rothschild. With many years of experience in framing, Wilkinson prides herself on her ability to help customers pick out the most complementary matte and frame for their artwork on family heirlooms. |

She can give older paintings a fresh look with re-framing, build shadow boxes for any prize collection or ;memento, and stretch needlepoint and canvases. The shop offers an extensive array of frame and matte types and also provides professional expertise in hanging artwork in homes or businesses. Wilkinson organized the J&S Frame Gallery Poker Run, a motorcycle ride that raises money fro the Fernandina Beach High School Art Department. The money raised helps to purchase art supplies for the year. "I am so pleased and thankful for the support I have received from my friends and the community. My goals are to provide framing customers with exceptional work and customer service, in addition to meeting the art supply needs of the local art community by providing something for every artist, from the beginner to the professional." |
